Our mission

Frothy Mug’s mission is to provide tasty, healthy beverages to the local community while minimizing our environmental impact. We serve various drinks including craft coffee, espresso, tea drinks, non-caffeinated fruit beverages, and ice cream sundaes. We use locally sourced fruit, tea, and roasted coffee. and desserts, and we offer non-dairy and vegan drinks and desserts. Our cold brew and simple syrups are made fresh each week. Our syrups are low in sugar, without harmful substitutes, and use local, natural ingredients including honey, maple syrup, and fresh fruit.

Our journey

Veronica Carr founded Frothy Mug in May of 2023 after a multi-decade career in cybersecurity and the tech and product industry.  She was unsatisfied with her options at local coffee shops, and she never quite trusted how much sugar or additives were in mixed coffee beverages, so she started making drinks from home for her and her family. Having gotten the title of “Tea Snob” from her British husband, and being a long-time natural coffee drinker, she decided to create tasty, healthy caffeinated beverages for others.

We decided to use a food truck so that we could be mobile and reach more people. We chose an all-electric vehicle to be quiet and avoid harmful fumes. We upfitted and licensed our first truck in July of 2023. Over the next six months, Frothy Mug grew from attending one farmers’ market to four and served at 110 events. Our menu expanded from a few cold drinks to a collection of hot and iced drinks, ice cream, frozen treats, baked goods, and snacks.
